Cruises are catching on
Do you remember your last holiday? Where did you go? Most importantly what new things did you learn or do? If the answers to these questions are hard to remember or worse are less than satisfying perhaps it is time to change the kind of holiday you take. Every one has some vision when they think about a holiday cruise. Maybe some are based on movies, hopefully not the Titanic. Maybe some are based on what friends and relatives have related from there experience. Some of us have even taken a trip by sea, for better or worse. However much of our information is limited or dated or prejudiced. Even if you go to a travel agency is their information complete, up to date or unbiased. After all they are paid a commission from selling the trip…the more you spend the better for them. Don’t get me wrong. There is nothing wrong about travel agencies and the agents who work there some are in fact doing outstanding work. Somehow, though, it would be nice if I could find out more on my own with out any “sales” pressure, if you know what I mean.

Good news for us that there is an important site for just the information you need to make an informed decision on that next tour by sea. The UK’s largest cruise community and information site, cruises.co.uk, is here to give you what you need and it is easy to use. Where to go? Just select a port of call or cruise location and they will show what ships are available. You can also choose particular cruises or even by ship name if you desire. What will my cabin look like? The cruises picture gallery has thousands of photographs of ships, cabins, restaurants, cuisine, amenities and more to get you in the mood. There is an excellent review section that contains positive as well as negative reviews by thousands of passengers to help assist you in your selection. If you have specific questions the question and answer section covers thousands of commonly asked questions as well as allowing you to pose your own if you wish. Once you find the cruise that sounds worth more investigation you can get a free price quote to help determine if this fits into the family budget. The site states they will beat any quote from any cruises line, how about that? There are updated specials and discounts as well for the budget conscious traveler and in these troubled times it pays to look out for a bargain when one can. They are the recently awarded “Best Cruise Travel Agent for Europe 2008”.
Let’s face it. Life is for living in the here and now. Taking the time for a little well deserved holiday is important and necessary in the hectic lives we lead today. Arm yourself with the knowledge to make a good choice. Happy Sailing!
